What should I expect at my first visit?
Please arrive a few minutes early to your first appointment so you can fill out an intake form. We will discuss the issues you may be having with your body, as well as the results you would like to achieve.
Where will the massage take place?
My massage studio is next to my home. It is separate from the home and also very private.
Is there parking on site?
There is street parking directly in front of the office.
What should I wear?
If you are getting a table massage you can dress down to whatever your comfort level is. I always comply with the latest draping standards to make sure you feel comfortable and safe. If at any point you no longer feel comfortable I invite you to let me know and we will find a different way.
For Thai massage, because you will remain clothed the entire time, I ask that you wear clothing you feel comfortable stretching in.
Will a massage hurt?
Massage does not need to hurt to be effective. I encourage everyone to let me know during the massage if it is ever too much, or for those who like deeper pressure, you can let me know if it's not enough. Because no two people are alike no two massage will be alike either. I strive to customize each and every massage to the person who I'm working on, and to what their body needs and responds to.
What parts of my body will be massaged?
I only provide clinical therapeutic massage, genital areas and breast tissue will not be touched. I will only massage the areas you are comfortable being touched. If you are only having trouble in one area such as shoulders I can spend the entire time on your upper body. The time is yours and will be spent the way you want it to be.
How often should I receive massage?
It all depends on your finances and what is going on with your body. I have some people who use massage as part of a pain management maintenance program and I see them anywhere from weekly to monthly or I have those who just come as problems arise. The choice it yours.
